Who We Are:
Air Search Rescue is organized
exclusively for charitable, humanitarian, educational purposes, more
specifically being a qualified
Multi-Rescue Disaster and Missing persons
organization providing life saving search, rescue, and
recovery with involvement in law enforcement, fire rescue, emergency medical,
and general services such as specially trained canine search
dogs, underwater scuba recovery teams, ground search with ATV’s,
helicopters, airplanes, with no compensation for services render, all our
non-paid Board of Directors and 100 + volunteer members provide around the
clock emergency services.
Air Search Rescue over the years and on September 11 within
different states on many occasions has provided services for
the FBI, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Air Force, State Police, County
and City Homicide, numerous law enforcement agencies, Bomb Squad, Fire
Departments, and the former Governor Tom Ridge during the flood of
1996 in Pittsburgh, also provided scuba rescue and recovery training to the Allegheny
County Sheriffs Deputies. Air Search Rescue is a back up rescue and
recovery organization for confined and overhead environment
extractions for the Northeast Region of the
Air Search Rescue Is An All-Volunteer Organization From The Chairman
Of The Board To A New Recruit.
